After receiving a degree in design and serving a two
year formal apprenticeship, followed by a two year journeymanship, Gerald
Benedict was accepted into the Pennsylvania Craftsman Guild. His next 28
years were invested in developing and further mastering his skills in
metalsmithing.
With years of art shows to his credit, as well as
numerous blue ribbons and awards for ‘Best of Show’, Mr. Benedict is now
branching out and realizing many of his life’s ambitions. His designs were
strongly influenced by design professors and by the headmaster in the
shops where he apprenticed.
He continues to strive for excellence in his
work, sharing his creativity and formal training with his apprentices.
