"During the past 20 years, I have had the opportunity to study with watercolor artists Alex Powers, Miles Batts, Frank Webb, David Reece, Catherin Lui, Barbara Nechis, Joe Miller, Christopher Schink, and Pat Weaver by attending workshops held in North Carolina, Florida and Tennessee.."

Artist's Statement:

"The watercolors I have painted tend to express the Florida landscape or the landscape seen from a boat. Sometimes my watercolors are created from interesting photos I have made from my travels to North Carolina or abroad. I have also used the bird images that photographer Rick Rose sells to me with permission to copy in watercolor.
My acrylics, which I enjoy doing as plein aire work, I mostly create in the mountains of NC during the summer months I spend there. I enjoy so much the water of creeks and the vistas of the mountains.
Most of my prints are made from my watercolor images; birds, some popular architectural renderings as seen in NC, and Florida landscapes, such as the series from the Big Cypress Reserve."
