Acrylic Paintings and Website Design by Florida Artist Linda Kegley

Introducing Aletha Butler

She comes from a large family of artists. As an adult she has decided to follow the direction of her father, world famous Wildlife & Landscape artist Robert Butler.
Born in Okeechobee, Florida at the age of four her family moved to Lakeland where she had an  opportunity to take a sewing class as a sophomore in High School. As a result of her inherent talent and acquired skills she was offered a job at a local sewing business. Later, in 1994, she began designing and creating collectible fabric dolls and customizing men's shirts. Even though her father, Robert Butler, had developed a very successful career as a Florida landscape painter, painting and sketching were only diversions for Aletha that changed in the summer of 2003 when she began to take fine art more seriously.
Aletha now devotes full time to pursuing an art career as a painter within the genre of Florida Regionalism.
